Today we’re excited to announce that we have developed the first ever USDA Certified Organic Full Spectrum CBD Capsules. Created with 100% organic ingredients and processing methods, these innovative capsules are not only fully compliant with USDA Organic requirements, but also engineered for maximum bioavailability. Upstate’s organic capsules are available in 30mg, 75mg and 100mg options online and in stores now.
“We’re proud to be leading the CBD industry in developing certified USDA Organic products that are cultivated, harvested, and processed without exposure to any toxic agents or additives,” said Dylan Raap, founder and CEO of Upstate Elevator Supply Co. “We like to say that our commitment to safety, quality, and purity is characteristic of the great state of Vermont, where we’re from.”

Hemp can only be called organic if it’s verified to have been grown on soil that had no prohibited substances applied for three years prior to harvest. Many CBD makers claim their hemp is “organically grown” or “produced using organic methods”, but just six months earlier the field used could have produced another crop using harsh pesticides or synthetic chemicals.
The industrial hemp plant from which CBD is derived is a bioaccumulator, which means it absorbs toxins from the soil faster than it can release them, including fertilizers, pesticides, heavy metals, glyphosate, GMOs, toxic solvents, and more. When hemp is used to make full spectrum CBD products, any toxins present get extracted along with the CBD and other phytochemicals. It is therefore critical that the quality of the soil is closely monitored and regulated to ensure a pure product.
The “USDA Organic” certification means that a USDA-approved agent has inspected the growing and processing conditions to ensure they meet official standards. You can read more about Upstate Elevator’s clean sourcing, growing, and manufacturing process.
