How to Make CBD-Infused Lemon Basil Ice Cream

This CBD-infused lemon basil ice cream is a zesty, creamy delight that will elevate your summer fun to a whole new level. It’s the perfect sweet treat to help you cool down and unwind after a long day in the sun!

Serving size: 2 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 droppers (or as desired) of Upstate Elevator Lemon Hemp Extract 
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Freeze Your Bowl

Make sure to freeze your ice cream bowl for at least 12 hours before churning it to ensure it’s cold enough to set your ice cream.

Prepare the Base

Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.

Infuse the Flavor

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the lemon zest and chopped basil leaves. Cover the pan and let the mixture steep for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

Strain and Cool

After 30 minutes, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the basil leaves and lemon zest. Stir in the fresh lemon juice, vanilla extract, CBD oil, and a pinch of salt. Then, transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

Churn the Ice Cream

Shake, stir, or churn the ice cream in a regular bag or your frozen bowl. This will take about 20-25 minutes until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. You can also use an ice cream maker for this step!

Freeze

Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container. Press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the ice cream to prevent ice from crystallizing over the mixture. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until you see a firm ice cream texture. 

Scoop and Enjoy! 

Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a lemon slice.

CBD-Infused Mango Pineapple Sorbet

Add a few drops of THC-Free MCT CBD Oil for a refreshing, elevated sorbet. 

Serving size: 2 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 2 cups frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup agave nectar or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1-2 droppers (or as desired) of THC-Free MCT CBD oil from Upstate Elevator
  • A pinch of salt
  • Fresh mint and lime zest as garnish 

Instructions:

Blend your Base

Blend your frozen mango and pineapple in a food processor until smooth.

Combine Ingredients

Combine your blended frozen pineapple and mango with lime juice, water, and your agave. Stir in the THC-Free CBD oil extract from Upstate and add a pinch of salt until well combined.

Freeze the Sorbet

Transfer the churned sorbet to an airtight container. Place a piece of plastic wrap over the top surface of the sorbet so no ice crystallizes on the sorbet when in the fridge. Freeze for a couple of hours, or until firm. 

Serve

Scoop and serve the sorbet into bowls or cones. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lime zest. Enjoy your refreshing and relaxing CBD-infused mango pineapple sorbet!
